Steve Witkowski, Lead Instructor
Steve grew up playing in the Blaine, MN youth hockey association. While at Blaine High School, he played in two state tournaments where he won the 2000 state hockey championship and finished all-state honorable mention.
Continuing is hockey career, he went on to play junior hockey for the St. Louis Bandits in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) and for the Waterloo Black Hawks in the United States Hockey League (USHL). After juniors, Steve played college hockey for the University of Wisconsin River Falls and Gustavus Adolphus College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in education.
He spent one year coaching goaltenders at Gustavus, then returned home to join the Blaine High School Hockey staff where he currently is in his 3rd year as the goalie coach. During his tenure, Blaine has seen some of the most consistent goaltending in the state.
Steve has an excitement for education and coaching of hockey, not only for the technical aspects of the game but for inspiration he gives to the players about the game of hockey.
